Movement Day is an annual community, fitness, and fundraising event supporting Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood. Movement Day is a full-day event that brings athletes and community members of all abilities, from near and far, together to move, connect, and raise funds for local children and families to grow, learn, and thrive from cradle to career.

Yoga (with Lava Yoga)
  • Starts at 10AM

  • 1-hour yoga on the beach

  • Youth welcome (Ages 5+)

  • Registration fee: $20-30 (sliding scale)

  • BYO yoga mat (if you have one/not mandatory)

Team Relay Race

  • Starts at 12PM, Max time limit: 1 hour

  • 1-mile loop (see map)

  • Teams of 3, pass baton after loop

  • Must be 18+

  • Registration fee: $25/person

  • Teams have option to fundraise (for runners, $ raised does not impact distance)

Cross-Training

  • Starts at 12PM

  • Teams of 2, 18+ 

  • Registration fee: $50/person

  • Teams have option to fundraise, are encouraged to set a goal of $1,000 per team (event judged/points awarded for $ fundraised)

  • Youth participation for rowing only (details TBD)

Raffle

  • Virtual tickets only / winners will be drawn through platform

  • $10 - 10 tickets/entries

  • $20 - 25 tickets/entries

  • $50 - 75 tickets/entries

  • Winners will be selected after 2PM - not required to be present to win

Cross Training Programming Outline/Framework

Grab your partner for the Movement Day 2026 Fitness Challenge! 

Teams of 2 will throwdown in a one hour fitness challenge!

Three workouts, done in succession.

We will be running heats across 3 hours, but you and your partner will only be on the floor for 60 minutes. Once you start Event 1, you'll roll directly into Event 2 and Event 3. So BUCKLE UP! 

Movement Day Fitness Challenge

Teams will compete in three scored events on the day of the event, with their 4th score being how much they fundraised leading up to the day. 

Workouts will be done back to back to back with 5 minute breaks in between events.

Example:  On a 60 min clock 

Event 1 from 0-15

Break from 15-20

Event 2 From 20-35

Break from 35-40

Event 3 from 40-55/finish

Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd - to be determined 

Workouts will be announced in June, July & August 🙂

Logistics:

Up to 54 teams can participate. 54 sign up spots made available. 

Heats of 6 starting every 20 minutes. 

Workouts will take place on the flat next to the basketball courts and on court 1&2. 

Equipment will be set up for teams of 2 male/2 female or mixed.

Scoring

Event 1 and 2 will be scored on reps, event 3 will be for time. Event 4 is total amount fundraised.
