The Rotary Club of Kingston, NY is sponsoring its Fourth annual 5K Run/Walk on Sunday 19 October 2025 to raise money and awareness for Ulster County SPCA and veterans in need of service dogs. If you would like to contribute without participating, please visit our Fundraising Page

This event commemorates the Burning of Kingston, in October 1777, when over 2,000 Kingston refugees fled to the Town of Hurley as British soldiers burned their city to the ground. 

The C2C is a hybrid 5K, which allows participants to join either Virtually or In Person.

  • In Person participants can run or walk the route on the New O and W Kingston Rail trail [parallel to the refugee route and much safer] to School House Lane in Hurley.

                   ☞ 9:00     Check-In and late registration and will begin at the Trail Head on Washington Ave, Kingston, NY.

                   ☞ 10:00     C2C 

                   ☞ 11:00     Awards ceremony At Hurley Heritage Museum 

  • Virtual participants can walk or run a 5 km (3.1 mi) distance on a trail or park in their hometown or elsewhere, anytime between October 5th through Sunday October 19th. 

UCAT will provide bus service from Hurley back to Kingston beginning at 11 AM

Entry Fee:

  • 12 & under FREE: 
  • $25 - Includes race entry and handcrafted finisher’s Medallion to first 100 paid registrants
  • Awards for top male and female finishers
  • Awards for top three finishers in age groups
  • To receive an official finisher's certificate, entrants must log their time on Zippyreg.com no later than October 19th by 11:59 PM, 2025, to qualify.
