50th Mt Greylock Road Race

Race Start Time: 8:30 AM

Registration Fee: $30 until 8/1 then $35 and $40 race day

Race Course: Start is at Mt Williams Reservoir, Notch Road/Pattison Road in North Adams, MA. The Mt. Greylock Road Race course is 8 miles on paved road to Finish at the summit of Mt. Greylock.

Bib Pick Up: 7:00am-8:00AM

Shirts will be available for sale for $10 day of race while supplies last. 

Prizes | Awards: Prizes will be awarded for overall top 3 male and female in each race, and for top finishers in each age category  (0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+)

Directions | Parking: There is LIMITED parking at the top of the mountain, car pooling strongly suggested.  Parking at the start please arrive early, if there are cones in an area near the start, that means no cars to be parked there.  Please don't be that person, only in open spaces. 

Runners & Spectators Please Note:

There are no shuttles back to the start. For 50 years people have gotten down by foot or thumb.  You can walk or run down, or hike on of the beautiful trails on the mountain.  Many carpool and many grab a ride from a generous soul.  If you plan to leave a car at the top, be SUPER early to grab one of the prescious parking spots at the summit, plan an hour roundtrip.  Yes, we know this takes planning, and we appreciate the efforts on the part of everyone.  For we are not permitted to bring large vehicles (buses) onto the summit, so we continue the same plan as the past 49 years.  Thank you in advance for the understnading and looking forward to seeing you Sunday. 

Spectators are asked to head up to the summit before the race starts to limit the hazards to our runners.  Cars will be held back after the start to give the runners sufficient time for a safe accent without cars alongside them.  Come early, leave early, be early, 

No Dogs or Pets: Due to safety concerns, no dogs or pets are allowed in the race.

Headphones: are potentially hazardous as they limit your ability to be aware of what is around you, course marshals, bikes, pedestrians and other traffic. For reasons stated we discourage the wearing of headphones.

Wheelchairs: and other disabled push strollers are welcomed. To help accommodate your needs, please contact us and let us know you are coming and we can help with any accommodations you require.

Toilets & Water Stops: There will be porta-potties at the start/finish. There will be water stops at miles 2, and 6, as well as water and snacks at finish at the summit.

Refunds: No refunds under any circumstances, including event cancellation or postponement.

Events are planned and paid for months in advance of the actual date. IF our event is canceled or postponed because of weather, pandemics, or other forces beyond our control, we won’t be able to provide refunds. In these rare situations, we’ll convert the race to a virtual one and mail you your full race goodie bag.

Due to regulations changes may be made to the course or race details for the safety of our participants and staff. Any changes will be communicated prior to the event via email, on our social media platforms, and on our website.
