Sasha’s Superhero Run is a 5K run/walk and the kids fun run. This year, the race will continue to raise funds to aid Ukrainian children affected by the war. The funds will be split between several children's hospitals, treating war-related injuries in kids, and a few groups, organizing playrooms and support services for displaced Ukrainian children. A portion of the funds will be spent on purchasing portable power charging stations for the military and civilians - as the enemy continues to shell the Ukrainian energy grid, the entire country still experiences frequent blackouts.

Superhero Costumes and Assessories
While superhero-themed costumes are not required, we encourage our participants of all ages to wear their superhero-themed attire or accessories.
Sasha's Superhero Run was organized in honor of a little boy Sasha Hudson White, who passed away at an age of 24 days on Christmas Eve in 2016. The event quickly became a gathering space for other families who lost a child or experienced a stillbirth. The superhero theme of the event was adopted to honor parents whose babies and children passed before their time, as it takes superhuman strengths to go on after a child dies. Families and friends of the loss families, participating in a 5K, are encoraged to form a team in memory of their little one. We will hold a brief memorial ceremony at the conclusion of the event to remember kids who left us too soon. A memorial ceremony is free and one doesn't have to participate in a 5K in order to attend it.
