Please help us facilitate the safe passage of our Mo Mile runners. We can use volunteers at the finish line and also we need four volunteers on the trail at the 1/4 mile turn for our 6 and under half mile runners and at the 1/2 mile turn for our 6-12 mile runners. Volunteers are asked to be available from 9am-10am

Shift in 2- 4 hours
Volunteer will ride the course and place the mile markers for all three events.
This job is best done with two people if possible, on bikes and with alot of patience and a TON of our gratitiude.
Set up all 7 water stations on course with Dave Pill
Water, cups, tables, trash, coolers for heated days.
The Course Monitors will be on North Summer St at the end of one of the five roads on the left that connect with the race course. These volunteers will hold any cars until the runners have safely passed the road crossing. Adults needed for this role ideally please.
The 5 volunteers will be out on the road at 6:45- approx 7:15 and then return to those positions at 8:15 until 8:45am.
Then you can be done for the day to cheer runners and or come and volunteer at another location.
Day of Registration 6:30AM-9:00AM
Day of registration and Day of Bib and packet pick up. 6:00AM-9:00AM (6am-8am is busy:)
Fast paced and busy for the time before the races begin.
Once finished with registration, same volunteers are invited to also stay and help set up for the finish line if you are able and we are TOTALLY grateful for the registration help.
Adams Visitors Center 6:00AM-2:00PM
To give out water to the participants at the Cook St crossing of the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail, a short walk from the Adams Visitor Center.
6:30am need 4 people to fill to be ready for the 7am Marathon Start, runners will come by starting around 7:10AM.
8:30am there will need to be 6-8 volunteers to aid the Half Marathoners and they will come by until approx 9:15am.
Mountaineers are then asked to come to the finish line to continue with handing out medals, giving out MountainOne food bags and cheering. That will take place from 9:30pm until 1pm. It will be busy until 11am.
Water Station #2 is located at Russell Field parking lot off Rt 8 in Adams This will serve all three races with the first runners coming thru at approx 7:15am then the second large rush will happen about 8:45am-10:15am. Runners will continue to pass this stop until 1:00PM for the last marathoners.
We will need two groups of volunteers from 6:30am-10:30am 8 volunteers and from 10:00am-2:00pm we need 6 volunteers
The Corner of Lime and the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail
This person will need to be at the entrance to the trail to turn the marathoners onto the trail starting at
7:00AM
There will be a break in the action between 7:30 and 8:30 then the volunteer will turn all the Half Marathoners onto the trail until approx 9:15. Once all half marathoners have turned onto the trail this job is over,
If you are able to sign up to continue to help in another role, we would be greatful and if not we are thrilled to have you joining us for this very important assignment.
You will need a vest for this assignment. You can pick one up at BRC the week of the evnt and a race shirt, OR let us know if you need us to get it to you.
This stop will be for all of the marathoners and half marathoners, up to 500 runners for both directions. The first runners will come thru approx 7:25am with the largest concentration of runners coming from 9:00am-12:00pm.
The runners coming through from 11:30-12:30 Marathoners in BLUE bibs and Half Marathoners in Purple
LOTS OF ENERGY and LOVE for these runners at this stop.
This is the just before and after the Turnaround for the Half Marathoners PURPLE BIBS (mile 7.5) and the marathoners BLUE BIBS will continue straight.
Runners coming back will be at mile 21 of the marathon on the other side of the trail returning from Pittsfield.

Farnams Crossing , is is the water stop for just our marathoners, you will see them at their mile 9.5 and mile 20 on their way back. This will be the smallest group of runners who are running the farthest of off of the participants, a total of 26.2 miles. They need water, fuel and more than anything, encouragement and support.
This is a very important morale boosting water stop, we need people with lots of energy and love!
We need teams to sweep the course, whether on foot or bike and pick up anything left on the course from the race.
We will provide gloves, and bags and so much gratitude you won't know what to do with it all.
This is a GREAT way to fundraise for your team or organization.
Clean Up Crew harbor Crossing to the Rt 8 crossing

Old State Road Water Station is for marathoners only and they will be needing all the love and support and high energy you can muster!
This is a marathon water stop that will be just before the runners turn and head back to Adams, once they pass this water stop they will run approx a half mile down the path and turn back. They will see you at approx miles 14-15 of their 26.2 mile journey and need ALOT of support and energy!!!!
This is on the bike path just before the Unistress lot. The volunteers will be there to momnitor the equipment mat for the runners to cross and take a U turn on the trail back to Adams. This is approx 14.5 on their marathon course.
This is not a fuel or water stop but it needs people with HIGH ENERGY AND SUPPORT to give our runners the best experience they can have as thye run 26/2 miles.
Road Crossing at Mallard Crossing from 8AM-11AM. Volunteers need safety Vests.
Nobody's Road to marshal with vest, bring a folding chair, keep runners from stopping for any cars. This is a very minimally traveled road and we need to ensure that our runners our safe.
You WILL NEED A VEST for this position. Please pick one up at BRC the week of the event. IF you are not able to get to the store,please let us know.
The runners will pass you twice, once they will be at approx 11.5 miles and then again at 17.5 miles.
These are runners who will be completing a 26.2 mile journey. We ask that you have high energy and lots of spirit!!!! Thank you!
The on site TIPS bartender and bar back responsible for set up, break down and serving. All clean up and break down of kegs and set up.
The best assignment to give finishers their medals! Runners will be coming in with three different colored bibs, each represent the distance that they ran.
Runners will get specific medals for the 8K, 13,1 and 26,2
Lots of high energy people needed to celebrate these people!
Give out the food bags to those who finish their event after they get their medals, this will be a needed boost to those who have just finished their races.
This is the stop where the three races will all pass through. The busiest time at this stop is from 8:30-11:30AM we hope to have enough volunteers to keep the area clear of spectators and to have LOTS OF ENERGY and support for the runners who will pass you two times going out and coming back.
Reminding the runners to stay to the right of the course, meaning some volunteers should be on both sides of the course offering support and lots of encouragement.
