Waiver of Liability

In consideration of volunteering at this event, I, the undersigned, intending to be legally bound hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have against this event, all towns/cities it occurs in, the event staging facilities, and any sponsors, as well as any person involved with this event. I fully understand that I, or the person I am responsible for, may assist in such a role that may include but is not limited to standing outside in inclement weather, walking on uneven surfaces, and other possibly dangerous conditions. I attest that I am physically fit and sufficiently prepared to serve as an event volunteer. My physical condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor. I hereby grant full permission for the event to use any photos, videos, or any other record of this event for any purpose whatsoever and without compensation.

If you're open to any type of role, we welcome you choosing this option. When we make the volunteer assignments the week before the event, ultimately we'll fill you into any gaps we have. (You might help with parking at the start, then be at the finish. Or perhaps we'll assign you to a water stop, etc.)

General Pre-Race Needs

18 Sat, 4/11 6:00am - 9:00am
We will assign you to either help with participant pre-race staging, parking or other miscellaneous tasks. These helpers will PRIMARILY be assigned either at the start or within 1 mile of the start, although a few will be assigned near the finish.

General Finish Area Assistance

15 Sat, 4/11 8:30am - 12:30pm
Those helping at the finish will be assigned by to either help in the finish chute, direct runners on the part of the course within the final half mile, boxed lunch distribution, and other finish area needs.

Race Day: Course Marshal/Water Stop/Cyclist

One role may be chosen from this group.

Course Marshal

Assist with runner direction/monitoring traffic on the course.

Water Stop Help

Assist at a Water Stop.

Course Cyclist

11 Sat, 4/11 8:00am - 12:00pm
We need several cyclists as helpers to serve as lead bikes with the top men and women, along with floats (mid-pack) and as sweep (back of the pack). Floats will primarily be going back/forth on the course while the lead bikes will also have the opportunity to come back once they reach the finish line with the leaders. This is indicated as until noon but if you need to leave as early as 10:30am, we can still use the help - just let us know of your time constraint.
